Once again, Faydee has dropped a new single with a Romanian female superstar, this time around Antonia features on this addicting track, titled “Trika Trika”. The song follows up Faydee’s single “Salam” and Antonia’s feature on Carla’s Dreams’ single “Anxietate” as well as her single release “Touch Me”.
Faydee, real name Fady Fatrouni, is an Australian singer-songwriter who is best known for his international 2014 hit “Habibi (I Need Your Love)” in collaboration with Shaggy, Mohombi, and Costi. He has been building up his career ever since with the release of his debut album in 2017, titled Never Saw Me Coming. He has released many singles and EPs, working with the likes of Kat DeLuna, DJ Sava, Claydee, and Hande Yener. His most-streamed track on Spotify is “Unbreakable” which features Miracle. He recently joined forces with Alina Eremia and Raluka for the fierce track “Enchanté“. He’s certainly someone who doesn’t give up and continues to drop new music and build fans.
As for Antonia, full name Antonia Iacobescu; she is a Romanian singer who hit internationally on Tom Boxer’s single “Morena”, she later followed that up with a number one single in her home country, titled “Marabou”. She’s been building up her career in her country by releasing amazing singles and collaborating with the likes of INNA, Alexandra Stan, Pitbull, Connect-R, and Achi. She also collaborated with Alex Velea, her partner, on her own single – where he was an uncredited vocalist – “Iubirea mea” and on his single “Sahara“. She was also a judge on the Romanian version of The Four and was a contestant on Uite cine danseaza (the Romanian version of Dancing With The Stars / Strictly Come Dancing – in English, the show’s title translates to “Look Who’s Dancing”) shown on Pro TV. Her partner was Paolo Campigotto, and they came sixth overall. She later incorporated what she had learned into her music video for “Tango“. She also re-released her loving duet with Jay Sean, originally titled “Wild Horses”, last year in collaboration with Lotus, re-titling it to “Wild Wild Horses” with a featured vocal from Pitbull. She’s continuing to release new singles, with “Matame” becoming a massive hit for her in Romania, appearing on the country’s charts.
The song itself has been written by Faydee, whilst it has been produced by Quick (Mihai Alexandru Bogdan). As for the awesome music video, that has been directed by Bogdan Daragiu, whilst Loops Production produced the visual.

A strong and catchy track, “Trika Trika” (which means “Leave It Leave It” in English) is an empowering anthem which sees Faydee sing in both English and Arabic, combining two music worlds into this unstoppable R&B/Club hit! His vocals are brilliant throughout and the lyrics are outstanding, as they cover toxic relationships to the extent where all your friends are telling you to leave the one you love as they are no longer good for you. He really is spreading strength and empowerment, especially with Antonia’s fired-up vocals on this track, she easily hits the message of the song home to its listeners.
As for the music video, it apparently was filmed in a rush as Faydee didn’t have much time as he was setting off to Australia after it was filmed; however, you certainly cannot tell it was created quickly, as both artists look fierce throughout. Faydee impresses to no-end whilst Antonia creates a unity with her girls, showing female empowerment in every way. What more could we want from this? Another brilliant music video from Faydee and Antonia. We so hope that they collaborate again.
